Who we are

Fieldnote runs this investor quiz. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Fieldnote. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website.

What we collect

• Details you give us: your first name, email address, country and, if you choose to add it, your phone number.
• Your choices: that you confirmed you are 18 or over, and that you agreed to this policy.
• Your quiz answers and the investor type and report they produce.
• How you found us and used the site: the page you landed on, the website that sent you, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), the type of device you used, and which quiz steps you reached. We do not store your IP address in our visit records.

How we use it

• To create your result and your PDF report, and to email you a copy or a link to it.
• To understand which pages, adverts and campaigns work, and where people stop in the quiz, so we can improve it.
• To spot trends across many people's answers. When we do this, we look at the answers as a group, not as individuals.

Our legal reasons

• Consent: you tick boxes to confirm you are 18 or over and to agree to this policy before we create your report. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests: measuring visits and campaigns so we can run and improve the site.

What the quiz is not

The quiz is educational. It is not financial advice and it is not a psychological test. We do not use your answers to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who we share it with

• We use trusted service providers to host the website, store data securely and send emails. They only use your information to provide those services to us.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your details and answers for as long as we need them for the reasons above, and for no longer than 24 months after your last visit, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. If you ask us to delete your information, we will.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored on secure servers. Only authorised members of our team can see it, and they must sign in to do so.

Your rights

• You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or receive a copy of it.
• If you are in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In other countries, you can contact your local data protection authority.

Cookies and similar tools

We use your browser's temporary session storage to remember your answers while you take the quiz, and to remember which link brought you here. This is cleared when you close the tab. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Children

The quiz is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
